In fact, they only do what comes to them instinctively. But it can be interpreted as a kind of context dependent intelligence.

Canine intelligence cannot easily be compared to human intelligence. For example, dogs aren’t as good at applying problem-solving skills learned from task to task like we are. Additionally, human IQ tests attempt to measure intelligence in reasoning and problem solving. That’s not really where the Pug is good at anyway.
